About the event
Many children experience worry or fear as they grow. For some children, these feelings become strong enough to affect everyday life — showing up as school refusal, difficulty separating from parents, sleep struggles, perfectionism, frequent reassurance seeking, or emotional shutdown.
Anxiety in children is often misunderstood. What looks like defiance, avoidance, or emotional outbursts is frequently a nervous system that does not feel safe.
In this practical workshop, parents will learn how anxiety develops, why some children experience it more intensely, and how to respond in ways that strengthen regulation, confidence, and resilience.
Parents will gain practical tools to:
• recognise anxiety-driven behaviour
• respond in ways that increase a child’s sense of safety
